The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, Fellow; UNESCO, ACLS, FIIFP, has commended Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada for his support and passion for Entrepreneurial developmental which she said will give the teeming youths of Nasarawa State the opportunity to be self employed and reliant.

The Vice-Chancellor gave the commendation when the Distinguished Senator paid her a courtesy visit in her office on the sideline of his official visit to the Entrepreneurship Development Centre of the University on Monday.

Professor Sa’adatu while thanking the Senator for his interest in the EDC described the Centre as one that has the potential to improve the socio-economic status and change the fortunes of the teeming youths in the state due the various entrepreneurial trainings that the Centre has, she used the opportunity of the visit to solicit the support of the Senator to further improve the Centre.

Earlier in his remarks, Distinguished Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District said his visit was motivated by EDC’s earlier request for a collaboration with the National Assembly.
While at the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Senator Wadada commended the Center’s strategic role in training students with various skills, he commended the leadership the EDC under Professor Rashidah Funke Olanrewaju, where he expressed his satisfaction with the students’ crafted work and pledged to partner with the Center to train unemployed youths in his senatorial zone.

Senator Wadada emphasized that unemployed youths pose security threats and urged them to acquire skills for self-reliance, noting that government jobs are scarce and promised to support the center’s efforts to empower youths.

The Senator’s pledge aims to empower youths with skills, enhancing their employability and contributing to the state’s economic development which he said this initiative aligns with efforts to address unemployment and promote entrepreneurship in the entire senatorial district.
Highlights of the visit was the presentation of a new bus to the EDC by Senator Wadada as a demonstration of his commitment in supporting activities of the Centre.
