VC declares ODeL Instructional Content Workshop Open.
The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed on Thursday, 15th December 2022 declared the Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) Instructional Content Workshop at the I.T Centre of the University.
Declaring open the workshop, the Vice-Chancellor represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics Professor Haruna Kuje Ayuba said the commencement of the training workshop is to align with the vision of the National Universities Commission NUC for Transnational Education, noting that the program also coincides with the cardinal principles of this administration which is to allow ICT to drive education.
Professor Haruna stated that NSUK is the first University to drive the process which is also preparatory to the take-off of the linkage with Lincoln University, Malaysia.
The Director of the ODeL centre Professor Benneth Coleman Uzoechi said the workshop which is starting with the Department of Public Administration is envisioned to develop course materials and obtain inputs from the lecturers preparatory to the take-off of the online program expected to commence next year.
In his vote of thanks, the Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Abdullahi Adamu Suleiman thanked all participants for attending, assuring them that they will have a lot of take homes that will improve their knowledge after the workshop.
