The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, led a distinguished delegation to Malaysia for a pivotal conference. The team included the Director of Academic Planning, Prof. Abdullah I. Adamu Suleiman; The director of Entrepreneurship Development Center, Prof. Hajjah Rashidah FUNKE Olanrewaju, Dr. Alhasan Yunus; and Dr. Yusuf, all from NSUK. The highlight of the trip was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF) of IIUM in Langkawi. Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Rector of Research and Innovation at IIUM, Prof Amir Akramin, the Dean of IIiBF, Prof. Rusni and other esteemed dignitaries. This MoU marks a significant step in fostering international collaboration.
Upon reaching Kuala Lumpur, the NSUK delegation was warmly greeted by scholars under Tetfund sponsorship at their hotel in Idaman, Selangor. Among them was Dr. Alhasan Ibrahim, who recently passed his viva voice, and scholars from various departments, including Mr. Muhammad from Microbiology, Mr. Shuaib from the Faculty of Agriculture,. They shared their excitement about their academic journey in Malaysia, which they described as a blessing and a unique learning opportunity. They also expressed their eagerness to return and contribute to NSUK’s development.
Prof. Liman assured the scholars of her unwavering support and promised to address their concerns with Tetfund. The scholars were deeply moved by her commitment and are eager to serve the nation with their newfound knowledge.
