The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman Fellow; UNESCO, ACLS, recently hosted both the outgoing and newly elected executives of the NSUK Alumni Association at the University’s Council Chamber.

In his farewell address, outgoing President Mallam Mustapha Isa expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor for her unwavering support and guidance, describing her as a “motherly figure” who consistently offered valuable advice. He praised her exceptional leadership, particularly during the Alumni elections, crediting her mentorship for the smooth and successful transition process.

Mallam Isa also reaffirmed the Alumni Association’s continued commitment to supporting the University and announced that the inaugural ceremony for the new leadership will be held on 4th of June 2025 in Lafia. He used the opportunity of the visit to extend a formal invitation to the Vice-Chancellor to grace the event with her presence.

In her remarks, the Vice-Chancellor commended the outgoing executives for their dedication and contributions, and urged the newly elected Exco under the leadership of Barrister Nuhu J. Egya, to build on the legacy of progress and strengthen the association’s role as ambassadors of the University. She emphasized the importance of global impact, aligning with the university’s mission and vision.
The meeting concluded with a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.

Among the newly elected exco are Hon. Saleh Mallam Zaman, Vice President, Emmanuel Akolo, National Secretary, Shuaibu Muhammed Oshoke, National Secretary, Shuaibu Bashir, Assistant Secretary General, Rabiu Tijani Omame – Financial Secretary, and Joy Firi Usaini, National Treasurer.
Others are Maruku Abel Maruku, Welfare Secretary, God’s Power Ede, Public Relations Officer, Barr. Eyyazo Daniel Moses, Legal Adviser, and Hauwa Muhammad, Auditor.
