

Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has been honored with a prestigious award by the Association of Philosophy Professionals of Nigeria (APPON).
The award, an Honorary Fellowship, was presented during 2025 APPON’s national conference held at the Federal University, Lokoja, on 7th October, 2025.
This recognition highlights Professor Liman’s exceptional contributions in two important areas: global partnerships demonstrated by her dedicated efforts in positioning NSUK within the global space through strategic international partnerships; and her significant contributions to the development and expected expansion of philosophical studies at NSUK and beyond, across Northern Nigeria, marking a landmark achievement.
The Vice-Chancellor’s award was received on her behalf by Professor Stephen O. David, the Head of the Department of English at NSUK.
Professor Liman was inducted as an Honorary Fellow alongside other distinguished personalities, including
Sir Paul Chukwuma, HRH Dr. Ebuka Onukwu, Senator Natasha Uduaghan Akpoti, Hon. Romanus Ibekwu, Prof. Idorenyin Francis and Prof. Iniobong D. Umotong.
