A delegation from Zumunta Association USA, led by it’s President, Mr. Sunday Bitrus, was warmly received by the Vice-Chancellor of NSUK, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, during a courtesy visit to her office. The meeting centered on a proposed collaboration that will position NSUK as a hub for innovation, focusing on equipping students and staff with essential digital and entrepreneurial skills.

In her remarks, Professor Liman expressed strong support for the initiative, noting that the university’s commitment to community service aligns seamlessly with the goals of the partnership. She emphasized that the university prioritizes providing platforms that benefit students, staff, and the wider youth population in the state.

The proposed collaboration includes training programs in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Mentorship, all geared towards global competitiveness and self-sufficiency.

The Vice-Chancellor further highlighted the importance of leveraging the university’s existing Entrepreneurship Centre and ICT Centre, emphasizing the need for synergy to ensure the successful implementation of the project. She cited NSUK’s track record in engaging with both governmental and non-governmental organizations through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and expressed confidence that this partnership would be a valuable addition.

He clarified that the training programs will not be limited to students alone but will also empower staff, enhancing their productivity and contribution to the institution’s development.

The meeting concluded on a high note, with both parties expressing mutual commitment to actualizing the collaboration and achieving shared goals.
