The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman on Monday 3rd June 2024 led management staff of the University on a condolence visit to commiserate with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Administration of the University, Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi over the sad demise of his father late Pa Daniel Umaru Lagi which sad and unfortunate event took place on Sunday 2nd June 2024.
In her remarks, the Vice-Chancellor condemned in totality the brutal murder of the late Pa Daniel Umaru Lagi who died in the hands of his abductors after he was kidnapped. She sympathised with the family and urged them to take solace in the fact that Baba lived a good life worthy of emulation and is resting in the bosom of the lord.
 
Responding, Professor Theophilus Lagi thanked the management of the University for identifying with them at this moment of grief, noting that though the death of Baba at this trying time is painful they have accepted it as an act of God.
Professor Lagi on behalf of his family prayed to God to reward and bless the University management for the magnanimity shown to them.
Prayers for the repose of the soul of late Pa Daniel Umaru Lagi were offered by Pastor Thomas Akwaden and Alhaji Muhammad Sarki Dahiru, the Chief Internal Auditor of the University.
