Public Speaker and Entrepreneurial Motivator with the Department of Entrepreneurship Studies, Faculty of Administration, Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Dr. Vincent Paul, has called on the global community to recognize girls as powerful agents of change and to eliminate barriers that hinder their success.
Dr. Paul made this call on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child.

In his message, Dr. Paul emphasized the dual role of girls in society — as agents of change and as emotional pillars within families. He stated that girls are “powerful agents of change and development” whose creativity and dreams have the potential to transform families, uplift communities, and strengthen nations.
He further asserted that investing in a girl’s education, health, and entrepreneurial empowerment is an investment in a “brighter and more equitable future for all.”

Dr. Paul described girls as “enduring pillars of encouragement and inspiration” within families, noting that their presence brings warmth, hope, and meaning to the human experience. He added that the resilience, prayers, and compassion of girls remain profound sources of strength for parents, communities, and nations.

The scholar urged citizens and nations to work together to: Eliminate Discrimination; Address issues such as child marriage, gender-based violence, and barriers to education that prevent girls from reaching their full potential. Ensure Equity; Guarantee that every girl has equal opportunities to live, learn, create, work, lead, and thrive in a safe, peaceful, and inclusive society regardless of her background or circumstance.

In conclusion, Dr. Paul called on the world to amplify the voice of the girl child, protect her rights, and celebrate her strength, emphasizing that “empowering girls today is essential for building the visionary and compassionate leaders of tomorrow.”
