The Nasarawa State University, Keffi, under the leadership of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed on Thursday 28th March 2024 held the 3rd Stakeholders meeting of the University.
The meeting which took place at the Assembly Hall of the University had the presence of the Visitor to the University and Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule and the immediate past visitor to the University Distinguished Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura.
 
The Stakeholders holders meeting which is the 3rd in the tenure of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor provided him the opportunity to give the Stakeholders a report card of his stewardship during his stint as Vice-Chancellor of one of the most sought out Universities in Nigeria.
This 3rd edition of the meeting featured the unveiling of a book project titled “Prof S.B Mohammed’s Tenure As Vice-Chancellor” which was endowed to the Support Centre For Students With Special Needs to be named after Distinguished Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura.
 
The 3rd edition of the Stakeholders Meeting also featured the signing of two strategic memorandums of understanding between the National Commission for Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons NCFRMI for the establishment of a centre for migrant studies and with the National Commission for People Living With Disabilities for establishment of a Support Centre For Students With Special Needs. The Federal Commissioner of the NCFRMI Honorable Tijjani Ahmed Aliyu and Dr. James Lalu of the NCPLD signed for their respective organisations.
 
During the event the Management of Lincoln University, Malaysia, situated right inside the Nasarawa University Keffi, in appreciation of their acceptance by NSUK to run their University in accordance with the guidelines of the National Universities Commission’s (NUC) Trans-University policy made a presentation of scholarships to the University covering 30 students worth 90 million Naira to the University.
 
The Highlight of the event was the launch of the book “SB Mohammed’s Tenure As Vice-Chancellor” by visitor to the University His Excellency Engr Abdullahi A. Sule and Distinguished Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura.
