The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, Engr. Aliyu Aziz Abubakar will deliver the keynote address at the 4th International Conference on Communication and Development in Africa organized by the Institute of Strategic and Development Communication ISDEVCOM Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
The identity management boss gave the nod when he received the Vice-Chancellor of the University and members of the Local Organizing Committee of the 4th International Conference at the NIMC Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday 21st March 2023.
Engr. Aziz while thanking the University and ISDEVCOM for the honor done to him and his commission to deliver the keynote address solicited for more collaboration between the Industry and academia which he explained will provide more solutions to the problems that have become a challenge to the country.
Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor Professor SuSuleiman Bala Mohammed, represented by a member of the governing council of the University and a member of the ISDEVCOM Board, Professor Nasiru Medugu Idris said they were in NIMC to partner and solicit support from the agency on the upcoming ISDEVCOM Conference because of the strategic position the agency plays in data management which also aligns with the theme of this year’s conference which is ” Change Management and Data-Driven Strategic Engagement for Development”.
The 4th International Conference which has 16 sub-themes and is scheduled to hold from 2nd to 3rd May 2023 seeks to provide a platform for sharing key learnings around data-driven strategic engagement for development communication.
