The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism is set to partner with the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, in the area of Information dissemination and advocacy of Government policies.
This position was made public by the newly appointed Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Ibrahim Tanko when he received a delegation of the University who were in his office in Lafia on a congratulatory visit on Wednesday 19th March 2025.

The Commissioner while thanking the delegation from the University for the visit stated that the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism is well positioned to discharge its mandate and ensure that policies of the Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule administration is well understood by the populace, stressing that because of the strategic positioning of the University, it makes it a very viable partner in progress.

Hon. Tanko who until his recent appointment as a member of the State Executive Council is a staff of the Faculty of Education, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, also pledged to ensure that the University is well represented and captured in Government policies.

Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, Professor Abdullahi Sallau Modibbo noted that the University is optimistic that Dr Tanko as the Chief Information Officer of the State will provide visionary leadership, promote sustainable development, and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Nasarawa State through sound governmental advocacies.
