




On Thursday, July 17, 2025, the Academic Planning Directorate at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), saw a formal change in leadership as the outgoing Director, Professor Abdullahi Adamu Sulaiman, officially handed over to the newly appointed Director, Professor Shedrack Benson Jatau. The handover ceremony, held at the Academic Planning Unit office, was attended by dedicated members of the unit.
In his farewell remarks, Professor Sulaiman expressed heartfelt appreciation to the staff for their unwavering support, cooperation, and dedication during his tenure. He acknowledged their collective contributions, which were instrumental in the significant growth and development of both the unit and the university.
Professor Sulaiman proudly highlighted several key achievements under his leadership, including; The successful development of strategic and operational plans, initiatives in curriculum review and academic innovation, effective coordination of accreditation and resource verification exercises and substantial enhancements to the university’s quality assurance systems.
In his acceptance speech, Professor Shedrack Benson Jatau expressed profound gratitude to his predecessor for his exceptional leadership and numerous accomplishments. He then called upon all members of the unit to extend their full support and cooperation to him, emphasizing that teamwork will be crucial in achieving even greater milestones and advancing the Directorate’s goals.
The ceremony concluded with the official handing over of documents and a group photograph, marking a seamless transition of leadership within a vital university unit.
