The Faculty of Environmental Science Student Association (FESSA) on 12th March 2025 organized a Tree Planting Day, Rally, and Sanitation Exercise within the faculty premises. This event was the culmination of the association’s 2-day program, held under the leadership of the FESSA President (HAFIZU MUHAMMAD HAFIZU) in collaboration with the Dean and Deputy Dean of the Faculty.

The Tree Planting Day saw students and faculty members come together to plant trees, promoting environmental sustainability and beautification of the faculty grounds. The rally that followed raised awareness about environmental conservation and the importance of community involvement, with participants marching through the faculty premises carrying placards and banners with thought-provoking messages.

The sanitation exercise, which involved cleaning up the faculty premises, demonstrated the association’s commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Students and faculty members worked together to collect trash, sweep the grounds, and restore the faculty’s natural beauty.

The event was a testament to FESSA’s dedication to promoting environmental awareness and community engagement. It also highlighted the importance of collective action in addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainability.

The success of the event would not have been possible without the active participation and enthusiasm of students, faculty members, and staff. FESSA looks forward to continuing its efforts to promote environmental sustainability and community engagement within the faculty and beyond.
