On April 8, 2025, the Faculty of Social Sciences at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, hosted a significant workshop titled “Enhancing ICT Skills, Cybersecurity Awareness for Smarter Learning and Secure Operations.” The event was held at the Window on America, Keffi, located in the University Library.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Liman, was ably represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Professor Abdullahi Moddibo, who delivered a keynote address emphasizing the importance of ICT in the digital era. Professor Moddibo commended the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the facilitators for organizing the program.
The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Abdullahi Adadu, welcomed participants and highlighted the program’s significance in enhancing ICT skills and cybersecurity awareness within the faculty.
The Chairman of the Faculty ICT Committee, Mr. Oserade Wilson, expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for approving the program and emphasized the importance of ICT in the university’s growth and development. He assured participants that subsequently such programs would be organized soon.
The workshop marked a significant milestone in the faculty’s journey towards digital excellence, and demonstrated the university’s commitment to embracing technology and innovation.
