About The Conference
The Department of Economics Nasarawa State University Keffi Conference on Harnessing Blue Economic Resources to Achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Africa Multidisciplinary Discourse is an event organized by the department to hold within the Nasarawa State University Keffi, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. The event is designed to be a forum to brainstorm and seeks to redefine the role of blue economic resources in broad based productivity across communities, states, regions, and African continent in general. It serves as a forum and platform for advancing discussions and exchange of information on research, development and application to issues related to driving a productive economy, through blue economic resources.
The conference presents a unique opportunity for academics, professionals, industry experts and policy makers, across diverse disciplines, regional, and continental backgrounds, to gather and discuss contemporary issues redefining the use of blue economic resources in the face of climate change and global warming in promoting development to achieve the United Nation’s SDG in Africa.

The Conference adopts a mutidisciplinary approach and contributions are welcome from all academic discipline and development sectors with particular focus on the United Nations 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) to transform the African economy. Conference papers are published in International Institutional Based Journal with DOI from crossref, Google Scholar and Scopus. Submit abstract on any of the sub-themes above as it/they are related to any of the underlisted UN-SDGs:

Guidelines for Submission
- Researchers and participants are invited to submit their full papers typed in an MS Word format, A4 paper size with Times New Roman, 12-point font size and 1 inch margin all-round, single line spacing, and not more than 20 pages, which should include tables, figures, appendices and references.
- Citations and references must conform to the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition referencing style.
- Papers developed for submission must include Abstracts (Unitalicized) of not more than 250 words, with maximum of five (5) keywords; names of author(s), institutional affiliation(s), email address(es) and phone number(s). The corresponding author’s email and phone number should be indicated.
- Presentations will be hybrid (Physical & Virtual)
Registration and Submission of Papers
All participants and paper presenters must be registered to participate in the conference.
Papers for presentation at the conference must be submitted on or before 12th May, 2023. Papers should be submitted as an attachment, with evidence of payment to: hod.economics@34.75.122.6
Submitted papers will be double-blind peer-reviewed by external reviewers, based on originality and technical quality.
Accepted and presented papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings, International Journal of Environmental Resources and Development Strategies and International Journal of Blue Economic Resources and Policy Review, abstracted in Google Scholar, with accredited DOI andImpact Factor from Crossref subject to payment of review and publication fees.
