- B.Sc Nutrition & Dietetics
- To promote sound manpower in nutrition and dietetics who will be self-employed and employers of labour and assist in enhancing increased household productivity.
- To provide opportunities to share nutrition and dietetics skills and knowledge with others in the society.
- To provide adequate foundation in nutrition and dietetics and adopt indigenous technology in order to solve public health issues in nutrition and dietetics.
- To promote and contribute to growth and improvement of nutrition and dietetics in the country through research and communication.
- Promotion and improvement of the indigenous technology in food processing and resuscitation of lost indigenous food items.
To be a world class Department of Nutrition and Dietetics for academic excellence geared towards promoting good nutrition for optimal human health
To produce graduates with adequate knowledge, professional skills and competence in promoting optimal nutrition, health and sustainable development.
To ensure the production of highly skilled manpower through adoption of effective methods of instruction, laboratory practices, field demonstration and clinical practice.

Departmental Board
The Departmental Board is made up of all lecturers in the Department except Graduate Assistant with the Head of Department as the Chairman. The Departmental Board organizes and controls the teaching of all courses in the Department and the examination held in those courses.
