On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, led a delegation of the university’s management staff on a congratulatory visit to the Emir of Lafia and Chairman, Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I CFR (Rtd). The visit was to commend him on his recent appointment as the Pro-Chancellor of Northwest University, Kano, and the conferment of an Honorary Doctorate Degree upon him by the Federal University, Gashua, Yobe State.
Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, who also holds the traditional title of Wakilian Lafian Bare-Bari, expressed profound gratitude to Allah SWT for bestowing upon the revered royal father immense integrity, focus, hard work, dedication, and wisdom, which she noted were key factors leading to these distinguished appointments. She further highlighted that the consistent guidance provided by the Emir has been instrumental in NSUK’s successes over the years. The Vice-Chancellor concluded by praying for Allah’s divine guidance in his new significant roles.
In response, the Emir of Lafia warmly thanked the NSUK delegation, led by the Vice-Chancellor, for their congratulatory visit. He lauded Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, describing her as “one of our best and we are very proud of you,” and acknowledged that NSUK is performing exceptionally well under her leadership. The Emir further pledged his unwavering support for the continued development of NSUK, reaffirming his commitment to transforming it into a world-class citadel of learning.
