On Friday, July 18, 2025, Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), hosted a high-profile media tour led by the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Dr. Tanko Ibrahim. The delegation also included the Executive Chairman of Keffi Local Government Council, Dr. Idris Ahmad Damagani, and representatives from leading national media organizations.

The team was received at the University Council Chambers by the Vice-Chancellor of NSUK, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, who was ably represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation, Linkages, and Alumni Affairs, Associate Professor K’tso Nghargbu.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Tanko Ibrahim emphasized his commitment to strengthening the state’s information dissemination. He highlighted the importance of effectively capturing and sharing government activities, particularly those related to community development and ongoing reforms under the administration of His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State.

Associate Professor K’tso Nghargbu, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, warmly welcomed the delegation. He commended Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for his significant contributions to the University, which include the establishment of the Engineering campus in Gudi, crucial road infrastructure projects, and the modernization of the University’s Printing Press on the Keffi campus. Professor Nghargbu also praised the Governor’s efforts to improve workers’ welfare across Nasarawa State and lauded Professor Liman for leveraging these initiatives to benefit both the Keffi community and the University.

In his vote of thanks, Dr. Idris Ahmad Damagani, Executive Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area, reaffirmed the importance of Governor Sule’s reforms and expressed gratitude for the support extended to the University. He also commended Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman for her tireless contributions to NSUK’s growth and acknowledged the unwavering support of her management team.

Following the reception, the delegation, which included representatives from prominent media houses was taken on a comprehensive tour of the university. The Director of Physical Planning, Engr. Ahmed Liman, led the inspection of various developmental projects constructed under the administration of Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, showcasing the tangible impact of the state government’s investment in education.
