The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, Fellow; UNESCO, ACLS, FIIFP, has reaffirmed the commitment of her administration to prioritizing student welfare.
She made this known on Tuesday, 20th May 2025, during an interactive session with students of the Faculty of Engineering at the University’s Gudi Campus.

Professor Sa’adatu, who was accompanied by members of the University’s top management team, emphasized that despite the institution’s limited financial resources, student welfare remains central to her leadership agenda.

Addressing the students, the Vice-Chancellor encouraged them to be innovative and resourceful in addressing the unique challenges they face. She also urged them to adopt proper communication channels when voicing concerns, stressing that her administration operates an open-door policy and is always accessible to listen and act appropriately.

In his remarks, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Yahaya Muhammed, advised the students to remain law-abiding and peaceful in all their dealings. He praised the Vice-Chancellor’s compassionate leadership, highlighting her effort to visit the campus and assess issues first-hand as evidence of her dedication.
As part of efforts to alleviate accommodation challenges faced by students, the Vice-Chancellor presented 100 mattresses to the Faculty of Engineering. She assured the students that more interventions and support initiatives are underway for the faculty.

The visit concluded with an on-the-spot assessment of the Faculty of Engineering’s facilities by the Vice-Chancellor and her entourage..
