History was made on Saturday 25th January 2025 as the Open Distance e Learning (ODeL) Centre of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, matriculated its first set of students into the program.
The Matriculation Ceremony which was both physical and virtual took place at the SB Mohammed Auditorium of the School of Postgraduate Studies.
In her remarks, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman who was represented at the event by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi while congratulating the pioneer students of ODeL advised them shun all forms unethical conducts stressing that the University is fully positioned to give them the best form e Learning.
The highpoint of the event was the administration of the Matriculation oath by the Registrar of the University Dr. Bala Isyaka Ahmed II.
The event was attended by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Professor Abdullahi Sallau Modibbo, the University Librarian Dr. Aliyu Abdulkadir, the Director of ODeL, Professor Benneth Colman Uzoechi, the Deputy Director, Professor Rashidah Funke Olanrewaju, the Director of Academic Planning, Professor Abdullahi Adamu Sulaiman, the Special Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor, Mallam Muhammad D Nasiru, the Senior Deputy Registrar, Academic Division, Barrister Ramatu Ahmed Liman, and a member of the Governing Board of ODeL Hon. Ibrahim Atenyi, amongst other management members and course facilitators of ODeL.
It will be recalled that the National Universities Commission NUC had in a letter dated 11th June 2024 approved the commencement of operations with B.Sc. Public Administration via the ICT Enabled Supported Blended Model of Open and Distance Learning ODL mode of delivery.
