In the continuation of her bid to strengthen existing ties with organizations that have collaborative affiliations with the University, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman on Wednesday 31st July 2024 was the guest of the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Environmental Standards and Enforcement Agency NESREA. Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor.
In her remarks, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman congratulated Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor on his appointment as the new DG of the agency, she prayed God to grant him wisdom in the discharge of his duties. She also notified him that she and her management were in the agency to further conversations on the existing memorandum of understanding between NSUK and NESREA.
In his response the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of NESREA Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor congratulated Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman on her appointment as the first female Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, noting that the appointment is well deserved considering her previous experiences and managerial positions she held before her appointment.
Dr. Barikor informed the Vice-Chancellor that the memorandum of understanding signed between the two organizations will be strengthened so that all the components of the agreement will be fulfilled. He further stated that both organizations stand to benefit from the agreement.
The highlight of the visit was the exchange of souvenirs by the two Chief Executives.
On the Vice-Chancellor’s delegation were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi, the Registrar, Dr. Bala Isyaka Ahmed II, the University Bursar, Mallam Murtala Abubakar Kana, the University Librarian, Dr. Aliyu Abdulkadir, the Director, Amina Mohammed Institute for Climate Change, Dr. Olumuyiwa James Jaiyeoba, and the Director, Institute for Disaster and Risk Management Studies, Dr. Adamu Tanko Ogah.
