The Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, Her Excellency Ambassador Joanna Tarnawski has described the relationship between the Polish Embassy and the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, as a flagship for Universities and higher institutions to emulate.
 
The Ambassador gave the commendation when she recieved in audience the Vice-Chancellor of NSUK Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman at her Abuja residence on Friday.
Ambassador Tarnawaski stated that the relationship between the Polish Embassy and the University has resulted in the signing of many significant Memorandum of Understanding with renowned Universities in Poland which has produced scholars who are studying in Poland and also the exchange of staff and students between the two countries. She recalled the visit of the world acclaimed Professor Brunon Holyst who visited the University and delivered the 7th Convocation lecture on 27th March 2023 as part of the shining examples worth emulating by other Universities to encourage cross fertilisation of ideas.
 
The Ambassador who personally congratulated Professor Sa’adatu Hassan liman on her appointment as the 1st female Vice-Chancellor of the University praised the dogged efforts of the Director of Linkages and International Cooperation Dr. K’tso Ngharbu for being in the forefront of the Polish-NSUK relationship. She pledged to continue with ideals of the pact that University and the Polish Embassy have maintained over the years.
 
In her remarks, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the Polish Ambassador for the longstanding relationship that has existed between the two organisations which she promised to sustain. She thanked the Polish Ambassador for the support that the Brunon Holyst Institute for European Studies has recieved from the Embassy thus far noting that most of the partner Universities are from Poland. She further noted that the University will not relent in its efforts to see that the institute takes off to a great start.
 
On the Vice-Chancellor’s delegation were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and Administration Professor Abdullahi Sallau Modibbo and Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi respectively, the Registrar Dr. Bala I Ahmed II, the University Bursar, Mallam Murtala Abubakar Kana, the University Librarian, Dr. Aliyu Abdulkadir, the Director Institute of Governance and Development Studies, Professor Andrew Zamani and the Director of Linkages and International Cooperation, Dr. K’tso Ngharbu.
