Welcome to the department of marketing, one of the most sort-after department in Nasarawa State University Keffi. The Marketing programmes of the University drawn from the vision and mission of the department are aimed at providing a functional and problem-solving education both in content and structure to the satisfaction of societal needs. The courses and training offered are meant to equip students with appropriate knowledge to make positive and significant contributions and improvement to the development of Nasarawa State, Nigeria and the global community.
Programmes
- B.Sc Marketing
The Department of Marketing is one of the academic Departments of the University. Today, it is one of the most strategic Departments. It is one of the departments that make up the Faculty of Administration. The Department was established to train and develop adequate and skilled manpower in the area of professional marketing.
The B.Sc. Marketing programme will prepare undergraduate students for the award of B.Sc. Marketing degree at the end of a four-year programme. The course is designed to provide intellectual foundation in the theory and practice of Marketing to enable students, on graduation, pursue further studies at the postgraduate and professional level.
It is also designed to provide the students practical orientation and exposure required of high-level Marketing personnel in both the private and public sectors, that will enable our graduates to contribute to the development of Marketing Profession and economic development.
The objectives of the Department are to;
- improve the students’ ability to learn and to adapt to changing situations; to be creative and to communicate effectively with others;
- provide efficient intellectual motivation for the academically minded students as a platform to pursue further studies in Marketing and related discipline;
- Produce high-level Marketing personnel that can contribute to the development of Marketing practice. The product of this programme should be able to design the marketing systems to suit changing environment of business.
- To contribute to the supply of modern academic and marketing professionals that will be conversant with contemporary developments in different areas of business, Management, Human Resource/Personnel Management, Financial Management, Information Communication technology applications, in both private and public sectors.
To be an internationally renowned Department in the field of marketing theory, practice, publication and teaching.
To advance marketing knowledge and learning through quality research and education for the nation and humanity.
Departmental Board
The Departmental Board is made up of all lecturers in the Department except Graduate Assistant with the Head of Department as the Chairman. The Departmental Board organizes and controls the teaching of all courses in the Department and the examination held in those courses.

Entry Requirements
Five O/Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Business method, commerce, Government, Geography or Statistics.
Minimum of Lower Credit in National Diploma
