The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, has commended the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria for its role in maintaining religious harmony in the University.
Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed made the commendation recently when he received the new leadership body of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria MSSN in the Senate Chamber of the University recently.
The Vice-Chancellor maintained that the MSSN has been noted for conducting its activities peacefully which has engendered mutual coexistence with other faith-based associations on the campus. He urged them to sustain the tempo and always keep their adherents updated with information that will be of benefit to them.
Earlier, the outgoing Amir of the MSSN, Lawal Yusuf Musa, in his remarks said they were on a courtesy call to the Vice-Chancellor and other principal officers of the University to introduce the new leadership of the body and to inform them of their upcoming activities and the sensitization of its members of programs that will come up in the holy month of Ramadan which is around the corner.
On the MSSN delegation were the new Amir Musa Muhammad Auwalu and deputy Amirat Maimuna Yakubu Otunsha amongst others.
