Nasarawa State University, KeffiNSUK Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sa’adatu Liman, and Minister Imaan Conferred with Prestigious Traditional Titles
In a landmark ceremony held on Saturday, 20th December 2025, the Emir of Keffi and Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, CON, conferred prestigious traditional titles on two distinguished daughters of Keffi in recognition of their outstanding contributions to society.
The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, Fellow; UNESCO, ACLS, FIIFPN, CBER, was honoured with the chieftaincy title of JARUMAN KEFFI, (The Valiant Champion) while the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, FSI, was conferred with the title of Yar Amana of Keffi. In his remarks, the revered monarch stated that the honours were bestowed in appreciation of the invaluable and immeasurable contributions of the awardees, whose achievements have brought pride, dignity, and development to their respective fields. He noted that through their exemplary leadership and service, they have continued to project Keffi, Nasarawa State, and Nigeria positively on the national and global stage.
Responding on behalf of both honourees, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman expressed profound gratitude to the Emir of Keffi for finding them worthy of such distinguished recognition. She assured the royal father of their continued commitment to upholding the confidence reposed in them and to further promoting the image, values, and development of the Keffi Emirate Council.
The colourful ceremony attracted traditional rulers, government officials, community leaders, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the achievements and service of the two illustrious awardees.
