NSUK VC, Nasarawa Deputy Governor Pay Condolence Visit to Former Education Commissioner, Dr. Fatu Jimeta Sabo

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman Fellow; UNESCO, ACLS, FIIFP, CBER, FNIPR on Saturday, 27th June 2026, paid a solemn condolence visit to the former Nasarawa State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Fatu Jimeta Sabo, following the sad demise of her beloved husband, Alh. Zakari Baba Sabo.

During the visit, Professor Liman expressed her profound sympathy to Dr. Jimeta, who also formerly served as the Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa. The Vice-Chancellor offered fervent prayers, asking Almighty Allah to bestow strength, divine comfort, and the fortitude needed by the bereaved family to bear the painful and irreparable loss.

Also present at the mourning household was the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, who was actively represented by the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Sheila Tosan Akabe.

Conveying the Governor’s heartfelt condolences, Dr. Akabe urged the family to take solace in the exemplary life and lasting legacies left behind by the deceased.

In his words “Death is an inevitable reality that every soul must eventually experience. We ask the Almighty to heal the hearts of the family members and grant them the strength to endure this heavy loss with steadfast faith and patience.”

Responding on behalf of the grieving family, the brother of the deceased and the Pakaci of Nasarawa, ESV Ibrahim Jibrin Mairiga, expressed deep appreciation to both the Deputy Governor and the Vice-Chancellor for their comforting visit.

He noted that the presence of such high-ranking state and university officials deeply strengthened the family during this very trying moment.

The solemn gathering concluded with special prayers offered for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Alh. Zakari Baba Sabo.
