The university community received the news of the students’ release with immense relief and gratitude after days of anxiety and concern following the unfortunate incident. The unwavering support and decisive actions of the State Government, working closely with security agencies, demonstrated a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of students and residents of the state.

The university particularly commends the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force, alongside other security operatives, for their professionalism, courage, and dedication throughout the rescue operation. Their sacrifice and vigilance remain invaluable in safeguarding lives and restoring confidence within the university community.

The management also appreciates parents, guardians, members of the university community, and all well-meaning Nigerians for their prayers, support, and solidarity during the challenging period.

While celebrating the safe return of the students, the university reaffirms its commitment to working collaboratively with government and security stakeholders to strengthen safety measures within and around the institution.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, staff, and students of the University, once again extends heartfelt appreciation to the Governor of Nasarawa State, security agencies, and everyone who contributed to the successful outcome.
