
NSUK Expands Global Footprint with New Partnership as Vice-Chancellor Signs MoU with Istanbul Beykent University



Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has taken another significant step towards strengthening its international presence following the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Istanbul Beykent University, Türkiye.
The landmark agreement was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of NSUK, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, during an official international academic mission to Türkiye, underscoring the University’s commitment to fostering global partnerships that advance teaching, research, innovation, and academic excellence.
The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a broad framework for collaboration between the two institutions across several academic disciplines, including Engineering, Architecture, Economics, Administrative Sciences, Health Sciences, Medicine, Foreign Languages, Law, Communication, and Applied Sciences.
A major highlight of the partnership is the commitment by both universities to collaborate under the Erasmus+ Mobility Programme, creating opportunities for student and staff exchanges, joint research initiatives, academic training, and the sharing of best practices in higher education.
The partnership is expected to deepen international academic cooperation while providing NSUK students and faculty with greater access to global learning experiences, intercultural engagement, and collaborative research opportunities with one of Türkiye’s leading universities.
The latest agreement further reflects the strategic vision of Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman to position Nasarawa State University, Keffi, as a globally competitive institution through meaningful international collaborations and partnerships. Since assuming office, the Vice-Chancellor has consistently pursued initiatives that enhance the University’s global visibility, strengthen academic capacity, and expand opportunities for staff and students.
The MoU with Istanbul Beykent University represents another milestone in NSUK’s ongoing drive towards internationalisation, reinforcing its reputation as a forward-looking institution committed to excellence in education, research, innovation, and global engagement.
