PROFESSOR SULEIMAN BALA MUHAMMAD
PROFESSOR MUSA INUWA FODIO
Professor M. I. Fodio was appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of Nasarawa State University, Keffi since 2016. Prior to his appointment, Professor Fodio was the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies of the University. He began his academic career in 1988 at the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa and later proceeded to University of Abuja. In 2015, Professor Fodio joined Nasarawa State University, Keffi. While at University of Abuja, Professor Fodio served the institution at various capacities including the Head of the Department of Accounting, University of Abuja; Member, Postgraduate Board (Representing Faculty of Management Sciences) University of Abuja, among others.
Born on the 2nd of October, 1959, Professor Fodio hails from Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. He had his primary education at the Central Primary School Nasarawa between 1975 – 1979, and Government Secondary School Nasarawa between 1980 – 1985 for his Senior Secondary School Certificate. In 1988, the Deputy Vice Chancellor obtained Ordinary National Diploma (Accounting) from Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa. He later proceeded to University of Jos, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science (Accounting). He got a Master of Science (Accounting and Finance) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2001 and a Ph.D in Accounting and Finance from the same university in 2005.
Professor Fodio has authored and co-authored over 40 research articles in both national and international journals. He is a Fellow, Nigerian Accounting Association

PROFESSOR GRACE RINMECIT PENNAP
Before assuming the position of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Professor G. R. Pennap had at different times served the Nasarawa State University, Keffi as the Co-coordinator for the General Studies Unit (GST) and Director School of Preliminary Studies. She began her sojourn in the academic world in 1985 at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Univerty (ATBU), Bauchi and joined the services of Nasarawa State University, Keffi in 2004.
A native of Plateau State, Professor Pennap was born on the 29TH September, 1959. She attended Demonstration School Gindiri, Girls’ High School Gindiri and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and holds a PhD Microbiology (Virology). She has numerous publications in both local and international peer reviewed journals.
Professor Pennap belongs to many professional and learning societies including Nigerian Society for Microbiology, American Society for Microbiology and Nigerian Society for Environmental Health.
BALA ISYAKA AHMED II
Bala I. Ahmed II was appointed Registrar of NSUK in February, 2017 following the expiration of the tenure of his predecessor.
He joined Nasarawa State University, Keffi on 2nd January, 2003 and served as the Acting Registrar of the University between 2004-2007.
A seasoned media practitioner and university administrator, Bala Ahmed II before joining NSUK had worked as a journalist and public relations manager with several reputable media organizations including National Concord, Nigeria Standard , The National and The Nation, where he rose to the rank of an editor.
He attended Government Technical College, Bida between 1974-1979, and the School Of Preliminary Studies, Keffi between 1979-1981. Bala I. Ahmed II later proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaira in 1981 for his undergraduate programme. He also holds a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from Nasarawa State Univesrity, Keffi.
MICHAEL SABO WAKI
Michael S. Waki was before his appointed as Bursar, the Deputy Bursar of the University. He joined the services of Nasarawa State University, Keffi in 2002 as Accountant 1. He then rose to the rank of Deputy Bursar in 2014, a position he held until his appointment as Bursar in 2017.
He attended Nasarawa State Univesrity, Keffi, Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna, and Nigeria College of Accountancy, Jos where he obtained his academic qualifications.
Mr. Waki is a member of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) since 2001, Fellow, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) since 2012 and Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) since 2010.
Born on the 25th May, 1966, Mr. Waki is a native of Nasarawa State.
BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Bursary Department was established right from the inception of the Institution with 5 staff including the finance officer as the head of Department. It later came under the supervision of a coordinator appointed by the Vice Chancellor in July 2004 with only 9 staff. In 2005, 9 staff was added to the existing staff bringing the total to 18 staff in the department under the leadership of a Principal Accountant. The Principal Accountant later became the substantive Bursar of the institution in February 2007 to date. The Department is currently made up of 25 staff comprising 18 senior staff, 7 junior staff 4 of this total are supporting staff from the Registry Department is divided into 10 units as described below:

|2.||CO-ODINATING UNIT||Is the one of units created in 2005 as a result of the re-organization of the Bursary Department. The head of unit assist the Bursar and co-odinate /supervise the activities of the other units|
|3.||CASH UNIT||Is one of the oldest units in the department. The unit is in charge of receipt and payments, maintenance of general petty cash, daily lodgement of all revenues collected and liaising with banks.|
|LOANS AND ADVANCES UNIT||Maintaining loans and advances, Analysis of retirements of loans and advances|
|5.||BUDGET AND EXPENDITURE CONTROL UNIT||Preparation of annual budget, maintaining vote raising of payment|
|6.||STUDENT ACCOUNT UNIT||In charge of student registration and maintaining students; analysis book.|
|7.||STORES UNIT||Is among the oldest unit in the Department. it is responsible for maintaining general stock ledger, raising of stores item, maintaining bin cards and ensuring quality control of items purchased.|
|8.||PAYROLL UNIT||Processing of staff salaries, raising of payroll journal voucher, maintaining staff records and preparation of variations, payroll sheet and bank schedule.|
|9.||PURCHASING AND ACCOUNTS PAYABLE||In charge of general purchases of the University, verification of prices, maintaining quality control, issuance of local purchase order and job order, maintaining profile of suppliers/contractors|
|10.||FINAL ACCOUNT UNIT||Maintaining cash analysis book, preparation of bank reconciliation statements, preparation of final accounts/general ledger, liaising with all units for source documents, maintenance of fixed assets register.|

Dr. Aliyu Abdulkadir was appointed Librarian of Nasarawa State University, Keffi in 2017. Before joining Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Dr. Abdulkadir was the Head of Division of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)/Kashim Ibrahim Library, ABU Zaria. He was also the Acting Head of Department of Library and Information Science at ABU.
He is a member of Nigerian Library Association (NLA) and Certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN).
