The Department of Business Administration is one of the academic Departments of the University. Today, it is the most strategic Department. It is one of the eight departments that make up the Faculty of Administration. The Department was established to train and develop adequate and skilled manpower in the area of professional management.

The Department of Business Administration is one of the academic Departments under the Faculty of Administration, Nasarawa State University Keffi. It commenced the undergraduate academic programme in the 2003/2004 academic session temporarily in Pyanku Campus. It was moved to the main campus in 2008/2009 academic session after the completion of the Faculty building.
The Department has about sixteen (16) tenure academic staff engaged in teaching, research and community service in a wide variety of areas covering general management, marketing. Finance, corporate strategy, entrepreneurship, human resource management, quantitative technique, strategic management, industrial relations, and commercial law.
The Department offers courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At the undergraduate level, it offers B.Sc. Business Administration and B.Sc. Marketing, while at the postgraduate level, we offer an MBA with different specialization, PGDM, M.Sc., and Ph.D.
Department enjoys an envied reputation for the high quality of her graduates, high turnover of students and for being the most strategic in the university as it attracts a high caliber of students from the industries to her professional masters (MBA) and other programmes.

Departmental Board
The Departmental Board is made up of all lecturers in the Department except Graduate Assistant with the Head of Department as the Chairman. The Departmental Board organizes and controls the teaching of all courses in the Department and the examination held in those courses.
Entry Requirements
Business Administration: Five O/Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other accounting, Business Method, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics
Marketing: Five O/Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Business method, commerce, Government, Geography or Statistics.
