Sweet Mother of NSUK Attends Annual Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons

In a spectacular display of unity and joy, the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, on Saturday, 6th December, 2025, graced the Christian Community Campus (CCC) Annual Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons held at the Chapel of Salvation, NSUK.

The Vice-Chancellor, fondly referred to as the “Sweet Mother of NSUK,” set a warm and uplifting tone for the event with a soul-stirring song of prayer and hope. Her rendition reminded the congregation of their shared purpose and the strong bonds that unite them as a university community.

In her remarks, Professor Liman emphasized the need for peace, love, and unity, describing them as core values that reflect the true spirit of the university. She noted that the Christmas season offers a unique opportunity for reflection, synergy, and renewed commitment to virtues such as trust, truthfulness, and justice—qualities she said can transform individuals and, ultimately, the entire institution.

Her presence added dignity and joy to the colourful celebration, which brought together students, staff, and members of the wider university community in an atmosphere of harmony and gratitude. Special prayers were offered for the university management, staff, and the entire NSUK community, committing them to God’s guidance and protection.

A major highlight of the carol service was a dedicated prayer session for the University, Nasarawa State, and Nigeria, led by Reverend Dr. Maiwa’azi Dandaura.

Accompanying the Vice-Chancellor were Principal Officers of the University, whose presence added further colour and significance to the event. This year’s celebration, themed “The Fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13), was a resounding success, with Professor Liman’s inspiring message of unity and hope resonating deeply with all in attendance.
