Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has concluded arrangements to engage more female lecturers to fill in some gap within the institution.

The vice chancellor, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed, disclosed this at the Gender Week 2020, organised by Centre for Gender Studies of the institution.

He added that in 2021, the institution will recruit more female lecturers.

Mohammed stated that the director and his team deserve a great reward for the leadership success recorded at the centre. The VC who declared the event open was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) Academic, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi.

In her welcome speech, the director, Centre for Gender Studies, Dr Hauwa’u Mohammad Mainoma, said the theme of the Gender Week 2020 is “Gender Inclusive Development”.

 According to her, the theme is carefully selected and erudite scholars are invited to present paper that can address our society challenges.
