The landscape of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, will soon witness a significant change as construction of the ultra-modern University Senate Complex begins.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Suleiman Bala Mohammed, at the official hand over of the site to the contractor, Messrs MNM Construction & Engineering Services Ltd, expressed appreciation to the Visitor, His Excellency Engr.Abdullahi A.Sule, and the Tetfund Executive Secretary, Professor Elias Bogoro for facilitating the award of the Year 2020 High Impact Project Intervention Fund, which will be used to finance the project.
The Vice-Chancellor said part of the Intervention Fund will also be deployed for the construction and furnishing of Central Engineering Workshop at the Faculty of Engineering, Gudi Campus, and the College of Medical and Health Sciences at the Main Campus, Keffi.
While unveiling the features of the edifice, the Director Physical Planning of the University, Engr Ahmed Liman said the 5-storey masterpiece, estimated to cost about 1.4 Billion Naira, will house 118 Offices, 65 toilets, 3 Committee Rooms, a 450-capacity Senate Chamber, a Council Chamber and the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
The project will take about 44 weeks to be completed.
