The Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, Professor Adamu Abubakar Rashid, has described the Nasarawa State University Postgraduate School as the first-choice destination for postgraduate studies in North-Central Nigeria.
The NUC boss made the declaration when the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed, paid him a working visit at the Commission's Headquarters in Abuja recently.
Professor Rashid said the Commission has been monitoring developments in the University and expressed happiness with the significant development recorded in the institution and the overall progress in the running of the University as a centre of knowledge.
He implored the management of the University to utilise the proximate advantage it shares with the Federal Capital Territory to improve further its postgraduate programmes to make the institution an excellent Postgraduate University.
